When Phil Steele's annual college football magazine hits shelves in the summer, fans of the sport know the upcoming season is right around the corner.

Before Steele releases the print edition of his 2023 College Football Preview later this month, he published the online edition to his website on Thursday. Inside over 350 pages of data and statistics include Steele's preseason All-American teams for next season, a list that featured six Buckeyes overall – the second-most of any program in the nation behind the Georgia Bulldogs.

Wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. and linebacker Tommy Eichenberg headline Ohio State's first-team All-American honorees following breakout seasons for both players in 2022. Harrison collected 77 receptions, 1,263 yards and 14 touchdowns en route to becoming a unanimous All-American recognition. Eichenberg led the Buckeyes with 120 tackles in addition to 12 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks, statistics that earned him first-team All-American honors from Pro Football Focus and Bleacher Report.

Wide receiver Emeka Egbuka, offensive lineman Donovan Jackson and defensive end JT Tuimoloau represent Ohio State on Steele's second team. Like Harrison, Egbuka also had a breakout season as a pass-catcher last fall, collecting 74 catches for 1,151 yards and 10 scores. Meanwhile, Jackson anchored the left side of the Buckeyes' offensive line between Paris Johnson Jr. and Luke Wypler in 2022, while Tuimoloau racked up 10.5 tackles loss, 3.5 sacks, six pass breakups, two interceptions and one defensive touchdown.

On Steele's third team, running back TreVeyon Henderson is the only Ohio State player featured. After an impressive freshman season in which he recorded 183 carries for 1,248 yards and 15 touchdowns with 27 catches for 210 yards and four scores through the air, Henderson took a step backward last year due to a foot injury that required season-ending surgery in December. The Hopewell, Virginia, native appeared in only eight contests and collected 571 yards and six touchdowns on 107 carries in 2022.

Ohio State's six preseason All-American selections from Steele were the second-most of any school. Georgia had the most with eight, while USC and Michigan had five and Alabama and Clemson had four.
