Ohio State’s conference opponents are set for the 2024 and 2025 seasons.

The Big Ten will drop its East and West Divisions after the 2023 season, at which point former Pac-12 teams USC and UCLA will join the conference. And Ohio State won’t have to wait long to face one of the two new members of the Big Ten.

The Buckeyes will travel to Pasadena to face UCLA as one of nine conference opponents in 2024, and they’ll also go on the road against Michigan State, Minnesota and Penn State. As for Ohio State’s home slate of Big Ten games, the scarlet and gray is set to square off against Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Northwestern and Rutgers.

Ohio State is 4-4-1 against the Bruins in the all-time series, with the most recent matchup between the two programs taking place on Sept. 22, 2001 – a 13-6 win for UCLA. Ohio State's last win over the Bruins was a 42-20 rout in Columbus on Sept. 11, 1999.

Ohio State already has non-conference contests on the books for the 2024 campaign against Southern Mississippi (Aug. 31), Western Michigan (Sept. 7) and Marshall (Sept. 21). The Buckeyes will have a bye week on Sept. 14.

The Buckeyes are slated to host USC during the 2025 season in a series of in-conference home games that include meetings with Indiana, Maryland and Nebraska. Ohio State will go on the road to face off with Illinois, Michigan, Northwestern, Purdue and Wisconsin. Ohio State has non-conference 2025 matchups scheduled against Texas (Aug. 30) and UConn (Aug. 18) with one additional non-conference tilt yet to be added.

Ohio State trails USC, 10-13-1, in the all-time series, but claimed a 24-7 win in the last meeting at 2017 Cotton Bowl. Before that, the Trojans won seven straight games against the Buckeyes from 1975 to 2009, including Rose Bowl wins in 1975, 1980 and 1985. The most recent matchup in Columbus was an 18-15 USC in victory in 2009, and Ohio State hasn't beaten the Trojans at home since the 1964 season.

In light of the Big Ten removing its divisional structure, Michigan will be the only team Ohio State plays on an annual basis moving forward.
