Miyan Williams' monster day came to an end before the first half ended on Saturday.
The Buckeye running back racked up 147 yards and a touchdown on his first 15 carries against Indiana but suffered an apparent leg injury that saw him be taken off the field on a cart in the second quarter.
Williams needed the assistance of multiple trainers to limp off the field following an awkward tackle, and didn't appear to be able to put weight on his right leg. Williams was then carted to the locker room, but not before signaling "O-H" to the fans at Ohio Stadium.

After halftime, FOX sideline reporter Jenny Taft offered an update on Williams' status, claiming head coach Ryan Day told her that the Cincinnati native would not play for the rest of the game.

Williams returned to Ohio State’s sideline in the third quarter with a boot on his injured foot and using crutches. After the game, Williams tweeted, "We good" to his followers and included "go bucks" for added measure.

Ohio State was already shorthanded at running back before Williams' injury, as regular starter TreVeyon Henderson missed his second straight game and Chip Trayanum was ruled out before kickoff.
In his postgame press conference, Day said he believes the injuries sustained by Henderson and Williams are not "long-term" ones. He also hopes that the Buckeyes can remain competitive in the run game despite their potential absences in the future.
"Hopefully, these are some things we can overcome here in a short period of time," Day said.
In the Indiana game, former walk-on Xavier Johnson and true freshman Dallan Hayden were Ohio State's next two options beyond Henderson and Williams. Both made big plays for the Buckeyes even before Williams' exit. Johnson took a pass play out of the backfield 34 yards on a big gain in the first quarter, and Hayden scored a 14-yard touchdown on his first carry of the contest.
Ohio State will hope to return Henderson and Williams quickly, but Johnson and Hayden's performances against Indiana provide the confidence they can pick things up on the fly. However, depth at running back has quickly become an even bigger concern for the Buckeyes, who have dealt with injuries at the position since the preseason.
