Four Ohio State players have been named players of the game for their performances in the Buckeyes’ 59-31 win over Purdue.

C.J. Stroud and Garrett Wilson split offensive player of the game honors for the Buckeyes’ 28-point win, while Lathan Ransom was named defensive player of the game and Chris Booker was named special teams player of the game.

On a day where the Buckeyes scored 59 points and tied their season-high with 624 yards of offense, Stroud completed a season-high 81.6 percent of his passing attempts (31-of-38) for 361 yards and five touchdowns while Wilson caught a season-high 10 passes for 126 yards and three touchdowns and also ran for a 51-yard touchdown – becoming the first player in Ohio State history to score three receiving touchdowns and a rushing touchdown in the same game.

Ransom gets this week’s defensive player of the game award from Ohio State after he recorded six tackles (including a tackle for loss) and two pass breakups against the Boilermakers.

Booker receives the special teams player of the game honor after he recorded two tackles inside the 20-yard line on kickoff coverage and forced a fumble on one of them, which Palaie Gaoteote recovered to give the Buckeyes the ball at Purdue’s 12-yard line.
