Former Ohio State cornerback Denzel Ward has been named as the NFL Rookie of the Week for his performance in the Cleveland Browns' 12-9 win over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

Ward earns the award after intercepting his third pass of the season, blocking a field goal and recording three total passes defended and five total tackles in Sunday's game. He was also named as the AFC's Special Teams Player of the Week for his blocked field goal.

Through the first five weeks of the season, Ward has already won the NFL Rookie of the Week award twice, previously winning the award after intercepting two passes and recording six total tackles in the Browns' season-opening tie with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He's the fourth Browns player to win the NFL Rookie of the Week award this season, as Browns rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield and rookie running back Nick Chubb have also each won the award once.
