Ohio State has moved up three spots to No. 8 in the AP Top 25, mirroring its move up in the Coaches Poll, one day after its 48-3 statement win over Michigan State.

The Buckeyes jumped over Notre Dame, who lost to Miami on Saturday; TCU, who lost to Oklahoma on Saturday; and Washington, who lost to Stanford on Friday. All of those teams, like the Buckeyes now have two losses this season.

Ohio State remains behind Georgia, who fell five spots to No. 7 after suffering its first loss of the season to Auburn on Saturday.

Alabama retains the No. 1 spot in this week's poll after scoring a game-winning touchdown with 25 seconds remaining to earn a 31-24 win over Mississippi State on Saturday. The Crimson Tide earn 57 of this week's 61 first-place votes, with Miami – now No. 2 after its win over Notre Dame – received the other four.
