Perhaps lost in J.T. Barrett's masterful performance against Penn State and all the emotion that came with the late-game comeback victory was a career game from Ohio State H-back K.J. Hill.

Hill finished the game with 12 catches for 102 yards – career highs in both receptions and yardage – and also accounted for 120 yards in the kick return game, all in relief of the injured Parris Campbell.

Campbell entered the game as Ohio State's leading receiver and kickoff returner, but had just one catch for five yards and a fumble before leaving the game "dinged up" after a kickoff return.

With Campbell out once again this week, Hill is expected to play a vital role in the offense and the return game against Iowa. He seemed to be Barrett's favorite target and safety blanket at times down the stretch, and Ohio State will need that from him once again as it takes on Iowa on the road.

It's possible Campbell's injury also means more reps for walk-on receiver C.J. Saunders, who caught one pass for 13 yards against Penn State in the first meaningful action of his career, but his small size limits him as a blocker.

You never want to lose a player as dynamic as Campbell, but with the way the Buckeyes handled it last week, they have to feel optimistic.
