Damon Arnette became the second Ohio State cornerback ejected for targeting against Maryland late in the third quarter Saturday.

On 3rd and 7 from the Maryland 28, Terrapin third-string quarterback Max Bortenschlager gave himself up with a slide on a four-yard scramble before Arnette laid a hit on him.

It went uncalled originally, but referees ejected Arnette for targeting upon review.

Unlike teammate Denzel Ward, who was ejected in the first half, Arnette won't be eligible for the first half against Nebraska next week.

Junior quarterback Caleb Henderson replaced Bortenschlager, who left under his own power.

Ohio State leads, 55-7.
