Outgoing Ohio State stars Michael Bennett, Doran Grant, Jeff Heuerman and Devin Smith have been invited to the 2015 NFL Scouting Combine, the league announced Friday afternoon.

The four were instrumental in guiding the Buckeyes to a national championship over Oregon last month.

Bennett, a high-motor defensive lineman and captain, had 41 tackles, 14 tackles-for-loss, seven sacks and three forced fumbles en route to becoming one of head coach Urban Meyer's favorite players by the end of the season.

Grant, a cornerback and captain who wowed scouts at Senior Bowl practices in Mobile, Ala., two weeks ago, had 63 tackles, five interceptions, and nine pass breakups.

Heuerman, a tight end and captain, caught 17 passes for 207 yards and two touchdowns while being hampered by a lingering foot injury all year. He was regarded as one of the team's core leaders.

Smith, whom Meyer called the "best deep-ball receiver" in his coaching tenure, caught 33 passes for 931 yards and 12 touchdowns.

The combine is held from Feb. 17-23 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
