Jeremiah Smith’s younger brother could be a future Buckeye, too.
Ohio State officially opened the door for a second member of the Smith family to play for the scarlet and gray on Tuesday when they offered Angelo Smith, a safety in the 2027 recruiting class, after he participated in Ohio State’s final skill camp of the summer.

Ohio State joins Miami, Oklahoma State, Akron, Georgia State and Toledo as schools that have offered the younger Smith.
While Smith camped as a wide receiver during his trip to Ohio State last summer, he worked out as a defensive back on Tuesday. He told Eleven Warriors last summer that safety was his preferred position, and it’s the positon he’s most likely to play at the collegiate level.
Smith, who measures in at 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds, told Eleven Warriors last June that his goal is to be even better than his superstar brother.
“I feel like I'm gonna be a better player than him, I know that,” Angelo told Eleven Warriors when asked how his game compares to his brother. “I play both sides of the ball. I’m definitely a game-changer.”
Smith made the trip to Ohio State on Tuesday alongside his Chaminade-Madonna teammate, 2028 wide receiver Peter Pierre, who already had an offer from Ohio State and was also among the standouts of Tuesday’s camp.

Smith wasn’t the only younger brother of a current Ohio State wide receiver to get offered on Tuesday; 2027 wideout Bryan Porter, the younger brother of freshman Buckeye receiver Quincy Porter, also left campus with an offer after participating in Tuesday’s camp.

Jett Harrison, the younger brother of former Ohio State superstar Marvin Harrison Jr., received an offer from the Buckeyes last month. Harrison is a wide receiver in the 2028 recruiting class.
