Ohio State’s quarterback of the future will be on campus for a multi-day visit this week.

Four-star 2027 Ohio State commit Brady Edmunds announced he’ll be in Columbus June 5-10 and will camp with the Buckeyes on Thursday, June 9 and June 10. Edmunds also plans to hang around during the official visits this weekend to lend his assistance as a peer recruiter.

The 6-foot-5, 215-pound quarterback committed to Ohio State in December, a few months after he earned an offer from the Buckeyes at a recruiting camp last June.

“I've been an Ohio State fan for quite a long time,” Edmunds told Eleven Warriors following his commitment. “My family's been Ohio State fans, so taking my second game day visit and just kind of seeing that rivalry live, I kind of felt like part of it, so I just felt I was ready to pull the trigger.”

Brady won’t be the only Edmunds camping at Ohio State, though. Brandon Edmunds, the younger brother of Brady, will also camp with the Buckeyes on those three dates and work out as a tight end in the 2029 class.

Recruits react to their official visits on social media

Ohio State just completed its first weekend of official visits. The Buckeyes hosted 11 prospects in Columbus and early reports indicate it was a successful weekend by all accounts. Just how successful it was likely won’t be revealed until later this summer, when plenty of prospects make their college decisions before the start of their senior year.

Eleven Warriors caught up with five-star linebacker Xavier Griffin on Sunday, who was intrigued by what Ohio State had to offer.

"I had a great time, they are already in my top four, so they're still up there and I'm just truly still excited about them," Griffin told Eleven Warriors Sunday following his official visit. “Being able to be coached and developed by one of the best linebackers to ever come out of Ohio State and already know the Buckeye way excites me a lot.”

Eleven Warriors also caught up with three-star Arizona offensive tackle Aaron Thomas on Sunday and we’ll have that full report published on Tuesday morning.

In the meantime, the majority of Ohio State recruits in attendance took to social media to showcase the highlights of their trip to Columbus. We’ve gathered some of the more interesting tweets from the weekend and compiled them below. (By the way, quick shoutout to the program's media team for that backdrop on the photoshoots this year, awesome stuff).

Casey Barner picks up an offer from Ohio State

Matt Guerrieri has offered a promising safety in the 2028 recruiting class. Georgia safety Casey Barner earned an offer from the Buckeyes on Monday, making him the first safety offered in that cycle.

Barner has recorded 13 Division I offers thus far, including BYU, Charlotte, Florida State, Georgia, Missouri, Penn State, Tennessee, UAB, UCF and Wisconsin.

The 5-foot-11, 175-pound playmaker recorded 23 tackles, two interceptions and a forced fumble in his freshman season.

Carter Luckie commits to Georgia

In somewhat expected news, an Ohio State defensive lineman target in the 2026 class is off the board. Four-star 2026 defensive tackle Carter Luckie committed to Georgia on Saturday amid his official visit to Athens.

Luckie was scheduled to make an official visit with the Buckeyes this week, but those plans have likely changed. Larry Johnson and Ohio State will instead look elsewhere as they hope to fill out their 2026 defensive line class.
