The Hurry Up is your nightly dose of updates from the Ohio State football recruiting trail, keeping tabs on the latest from commits and targets from around the country.

CAMP SEASON IS HERE

Ohio State held the first of three one-day camps at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center this afternoon, and several big-time names were in attendance, including:

Wray, who just started running about a month ago after he had surgery to fix a knee injury he suffered in middle school, participated in a few drills early in the day. Standing 6-foot-7, he's as big as advertised, and will only become more menacing by adding more muscle to his slender frame. Wray's father, Sam, told me he had a tremendous growth spurt in middle school, which is how the injury occurred. They nicknamed him "Stretch" as a result.

Babb, meanwhile, is widely regarded as the Buckeyes' top priority at wide receiver. He did not participate in the camp, but is instead using the trip as another opportunity to meet with the coaching staff and see the campus.

Babb's only other visits were for the camp at which he was offered a scholarship last June and the double-overtime win over Michigan in November, so he's not been afforded a real one-on-one sit down opportunity with the staff previously. While I don't expect him to make a decision on his future anytime soon, this visit will go a long way toward Ohio State solidifying its lead in his recruitment.

Babb brought a guest, too. His teammate, Nebraska three-star receiver commit Cameron Brown, participated in the camp and showed excellent body control and speed in a number of different drills. The Buckeyes offered him a scholarship following the camp.

The 6-foot-1, 175-pound Brown is considered the 61st-best wide receiver and No. 353 prospect overall in the Class of 2018, as he racked up a team-leading 1,023 yards and 11 touchdowns for the Cadets last season. He committed to the Cornhuskers in early May over more than a dozen other offers from programs such as Alabama, Georgia, Iowa, Kentucky, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Naturally, conversation about a flip will is already filling up message boards. But after the Tyjon Lindsey saga in late January, wide receivers coach Zach Smith would love nothing more than to even the score by landing Brown — though it may be too early just yet to talk about a package deal.

The biggest news of the day, though, revolved around Teague. Just one week after a stellar camp performance at Alabama, he ran a 4.31-second 40-yard dash, had a vertical jump of 42.5 inches and bench pressed 225 pounds with such ease the coaching staff had him stop after 16 repetitions. Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer and running backs Mike Weber and J.K. Dobbins gave him some one-on-one tips during the camp, and the staff finally offered him a scholarship at the camp's conclusion.

I've detailed on numerous occasions Teague's interest in Ohio State, and I fully expect him to commit to Ohio State in the next few weeks. Running backs coach Tony Alford absolutely loves everything about Teague, and this visit was solely about Meyer seeing him work out in person.

Oweh was also another prospect who spent considerable time with the coaching staff. He looks every bit the part of an elite stand-up defensive end, and it's hard to tell he's only played football for one year. Oweh and Bresee were actually separated from the rest of the defensive linemen at the camp, and went through individual instruction with defensive line coach Larry Johnson. It was very clear they both respect Johnson immensely, and that could ultimately be the deciding factor in their respective recruitments.

Oweh was also taken aside by Johnson and Schiano after the camp for some additional instruction. Bresee, meanwhile, was given a scholarship offer by Meyer.

The 6-foot-4, 260-pound Bresee is not yet ranked by any major recruiting sites, seeing as he's still only a freshman. But he holds early offers from programs such as Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, Penn State, Tennessee and Virginia Tech, among others.

I spoke with his father very briefly, and he told me they love everything about Ohio State. Seeing as he's only a rising sophomore, there's still a long way to go. But the Buckeyes have certainly taken an early lead.

Ohio State's next one-day position camp is on Tuesday, June 13. We'll have a list of expected attendees in Monday night's edition of The Hurry Up.
