The Hurry Up is your nightly dose of updates from the Ohio State football recruiting trail, keeping tabs on the latest from commits and targets from around the country.

FIRST STEP ON THE ROAD TO RECOVERY

Ohio State five-star wide receiver commit Trevon Grimes underwent arthroscopic knee surgery on Tuesday to repair a torn ACL he suffered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, St. Thomas Aquinas' nationally televised triple-overtime loss to Las Vegas, Nevada, Bishop Gorman in late September.

The 6-foot-2, 202-pounder was injured in the fourth quarter on a pass to the end zone, which was picked off by Ohio State safety target Bubba Bolden. He will miss the remainder of his senior season, thus making it more difficult for the Raiders to capture their third-consecutive state championship, but expects to fully recovered by the time he arrives in Columbus.

“From what the plan is, I will be [healthy] before I get to Ohio State,” he said.

This marks the second-straight year that an Ohio State-bound player from St. Thomas Aquinas has torn his ACL, as defensive end Nick Bosa suffered the season-ending injury last November. After a lengthy rehab, Bosa has played in all six games for the Buckeyes as a true freshman this season.

INDECISIVE #TEEN

Less than one month after committing to Notre Dame seemingly out of the blue, Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, four-star defensive tackle Donovan Jeter has reopened his recruitment. Jeter was originally set to announce his college decision on Halloween, but pledged his services to the Fighting Irish following an official visit for the game against Michigan State.

One has to wonder if Notre Dame's 2-5 start is making the 6-foot-5, 250-pounder reconsider his decision.

“I was on like an emotional high there,” Jeter told Pittsburgh Sports Now of his visit to South Bend. “They had the crowd going crazy, the planes flying over. When you get there, they treat you like kings. I just felt a lot of love. On the plane ride home, I told my mom and dad I wanted to commit, and they were all for it. My dad was the one that said, 'I think you need to see some more colleges.'”

Jeter named Alabama, Ohio State, Penn State, Pitt and Tennessee as finalists in July, but added Michigan and Notre Dame back into the mix shortly thereafter. He visited Ohio State twice last summer, but hasn't been back on campus since.

“I'm probably going to take some more visits. I'm probably going to take one or two. I'm not sure yet.” Jeter said. “With me, it changes every week. One time, Pitt was my top school. One time, Michigan was my top school. Obviously, Notre Dame was my top school. One time, Penn State was my top school. One time, Ohio State was my top school. I'm not even going to post on Twitter what my schools are because I know it'll change in a heartbeat.”

The Buckeyes, meanwhile, have shifted their focus to four-star Jay Tufele of South Jordan, Utah, and — more or less — five-star Marvin Wilson of Bellaire, Texas.

ALL-AMERICAN HONORS

A pair of Ohio State commits were honored this week by the U.S. Army All-American Bowl as part of the American Family Insurance Selection Tour.

Hyattsville, Maryland, Dematha five-star defensive end Chase Young and Miamisburg five-star offensive tackle Josh Myers were presented with the jerseys they'll wear during the Jan. 7, 2017, game in San Antonio, Texas.

The 6-foot-5, 225-pound Young is considered the top player in the state of Maryland and the No. 2 weak side defensive end in the Class of 2017. He committed to Ohio State during Friday Night Lights in July.

“It’s just a lovely place and I want to go into criminal justice and they have a program,” he told USA TODAY Sports. "Coach [Urban] Meyer is a coach who wants to win. The defensive line coach, coach [Larry] Johnson, is best in the nation. When I go up there, it’s like a brotherhood. I didn’t get any funny vibes from any of the players.”

Myers, meanwhile, is the top player in the state of Ohio and the third-best offensive tackle in the current recruiting cycle. He is also the highest-rated commit in the class, coming in as the No. 10 overall recruit in the country.

“It's hard for me to put into words what it's going to be like to play in front of [more than 35,000 servicemen and servicewomen],” Myers told 247Sports. “They risk their lives to protect our country and I've been dreaming of this opportunity. It's a chance for me to represent my team and my city of Miamisburg. It's unbelievable.”

FALO-ING IN HIS BROTHER'S FOOTSTEPS?

Ohio State put itself at a distinct disadvantage when it extended an offer to Sacramento, California, Inderkum's Josh Falo in late August, as programs such as Colorado and Oregon had already been courting the four-star tight end for more than three years.

Nevertheless, the 6-foot-5, 235-pounder told Scout.com following an official visit to Boulder this weekend that he hopes to take a trip to Columbus this fall.

“Colorado is a great place, for sure, and I did have some feelings about committing, but it's a little too early right now,” Falo said. “I still have other trips I want to take before I commit. I have a date with Oregon set up for November, but I'm not sure if I'll still take it because I already took the unofficial last month.

“I want to check out Michigan, Ohio State, Alabama and USC, but I don't have any dates with anyone right now. I would like to try and take as many as I can during the season, maybe two to three more, and then take the others in December,” he continued. “These are all great options for me, so I just want to take my visits and find the best all-around fit for me.”

Falo is considered the fourth-best tight end and the No. 16 player overall in California for the Class of 2017. He currently holds 24 offers, but listed Alabama, Auburn, Colorado, Oregon, Miami, Michigan, Nebraska, Texas A&M, UCLA and USC in his Top 10 back in August.

It should be noted that Falo revealed his top schools prior to receiving the offer from Ohio State. He is expected to make his college intentions known at the Under Armour All-American Game in January.
