Kam Williams Becomes 56th Buckeye in Program History to Reach 1,000 Points

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Kam Williams joined some select Ohio State basketball company Friday night. 

With a first-half jumper against Indiana, Williams became the 56th Buckeye in program history to score 1,000 or more points. 

Williams joined the Ohio State program as a member of the 2013 recruiting class and redshirted his first year on campus before becoming a rotational player during the 2014-15 season, the Buckeyes' last year in the NCAA Tournament. 

Entering the matchup against the Hoosiers, Williams had scored 212 points this season and averaged 7.9 points in 27 games during his redshirt senior campaign. His best statistical season came in 2016-17, when the Baltimore native scored 300 points and averaged 9.4 points per game in 32 contests, 29 of which were starts. 

Williams finished Ohio State's 80-78 double-overtime win over Indiana with 15 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the floor.
