It's been assumed but now it's official: Kam Williams will not play when the Buckeyes take on No. 3 Purdue on Wednesday, Chris Holtmann announced on Tuesday.

"He's got class he needs to attend to tomorrow, so he'll be here in Columbus finishing up work." Holtmann said Tuesday. "He's got a project, going to class. We will re-evaluate things on Thursday."

Ohio State's starting shooting guard was suspended indefinitely ahead of the team's game against Illinois and Holtmann will re-evaluate his status after Wednesday's game against the Boilermakers.

Williams averages eight points per game and ranks second on the team in three-point percentage, shooting 46.3 percent from behind the arc.
