Ohio State beat Indiana and Illinois in Columbus last week, and the Associated Press awarded the Buckeyes' efforts Monday morning in its latest Top 25, which ranks the local team No. 14 overall.

That's up from last week's No. 17 ranking following a buzzer-beater upset loss to Tony Carr and Penn State.

Purdue, whom Ohio State faces Wednesday night in West Lafayette, is the highest rated Big Ten team at No. 3, with Michigan State following at No. 4. In-state rival Xavier is No. 5.
