It appears Ohio State guard JaQuan Lyle chipped his tooth Tuesday night during an offseason workout. Lyle responded to the medical emergency as any young man would in 2016: He tweeted out a picture.

Such are the perils of playing basketball (and why I recommend aspiring players never cross either three-point line or leave the ground in attempt to rebound) but it's good to see Lyle took the cosmetic blow in stride. Dentists deal with chipped teeth every day.

Unfortunately for Lyle, a Crying Jordan arrived on the scene before a dentist. This grotesque crowning is now an internet ritual, and the Ohio State team managers supplied the crown of thorns:

Hopefully Lyle recovers in time for Ohio State's 2016 season tips off in November against Navy.
