Fresh off only the fourth triple-double in Ohio State history, D'Angelo Russell swept the Big Ten's weekly awards Monday. Russell was named Big Ten Player of the Week for the second time and earned his fourth-straight and sixth overall Freshman of the Week honor. It is Russell's second sweep of the weekly awards this season.

In the Buckeyes' 79-60 win over the Scarlet Knights on Sunday, Russell turned in a 23-point, 11-rebound, 11-assist performance. He became the first Buckeye to turn in a triple-double since Evan Turner in 2009. Russell is the first-ever Ohio State freshman to accomplish that feat and the first to do it in Big Ten play.

The 6-foot-5 combo guard from Louisville also had 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the Buckeyes' 60-58 loss to Purdue on Wednesday.

Russell is the top-scoring freshman in the country, averaging 19.5 points per game. In Big Ten play, Russell is averaging 21.7 points per game — tops in the conference. He is also Ohio State's leading rebounder at 5.9 per game and is second on the team in assists with 5.4 per game.

Russell and the Buckeyes will next be in action Wednesday night when they host Penn State.
