This Week in Twitter is a look at some of the week's best and most entertaining tweets from Buckeyeland and beyond.

Monday was the deadline for NFL-eligible college football players to make their 2023 decisions.

Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud had very conspicuously not made his intentions known publicly, which meant Buckeye fans woke up Monday morning expecting to learn if NIL money and a sense of OSU legacy had overwhelmed Stroud to the point of ignoring a top-10 1st round draft grade.

And then Brian Schottenstein, the head of Ohio State's most prominent NIL instrument, tweeted this out as Stroud's public declaration anticipation anxiety was reaching its peak:

congrats on the sex

Stroud already has an NIL deal with The Foundation, so this - quite reasonably - led Ohio State fans and anyone else waiting for Stroud's decision to conclude he just might be sticking around for another season in Columbus.

But then:

Stroud is off to the NFL, and it turned out Schottenstein's big news was...a gender reveal. Curiously-timed, even if he had tweeted days earlier that Stroud would not be returning.

Schottenstein has since locked his account, as the story of his Twitter actions went viral well beyond Ohio State sites while his mentions all quickly began to look like this:

That was Monday! Here's a sampling of what else happened on the Bird site over the past week:

Apparently the Ravens don't understand what JK ALL DAY means:

...while a current Ohio State tailback sent a warning shot to those who doubted his resolve.

A little over two years ago, Justin Fields and the rest of his teammates glared at Kevin Warren while on the dais in Indianapolis, knowing they were only able to play because of their efforts.

Two years later, Fields and Warren are now reunited

In future news, the Bears are moving to Arlington Heights, a cool 30 miles from downtown.

Not sure why this feels bad, but it does? Maybe it's because everything feels bad.

Former backup quarterback Joe Burrow wore no.10 at Ohio State, no.9 at LSU and with the Bengals - and no.8 this week for about an hour, oops:

Current backup quarterback is ready to shed the backup designation (psst try not to break your hand during spring practice!)

Other backups are just happy to be with the program, and are excited to contribute to the next championship drive:

Okay, now onto men's basketball. By the time you see this the Buckeyes will either be ending a five-game slide or extending it. The fifth loss was the second in that streak to a team that has no business playing the Buckeyes close, let alone beating them.

...and everyone knows it. AVALAAAANNNNCHE

The football Buckeyes just faced 25-year old Stetson Bennett in Atlanta, and this coming season when they visit South Bend in Week 4 they're likely going to be facing another "college" player of advanced age:

If you're curious, Kyle McCord turns 21 the week the Buckeyes play Notre Dame. Devin Brown is younger. Meanwhile, Hartman was born the previous millennium.

PLOT TWIST: The oldest quarterback on the field at Notre Dame will still be on Ohio State's sideline:

Oregon State grad transfer Tristan Gebbia will be 25 this season, as he enters into an emergency backup/coach-in-training endeavor. Here's hoping he doesn't slip up and accidentally say OSU instead of THE OSU.

Also raising the Buckeyes' maturity level will be Class of '19 OL versatility specialist Victor Cutler:

The Ohio State coaching staff is on the road building relationships and filling its pipeline:

And finally, a gentle reminder to our Ohio readers: Just because you can gamble legally now doesn't give you a license to harass the people or teams you're wagering on or against:

Remember, the only rule of Twitter is Don't Tweet, and if you break that rule then the objective is to not become Twitter's main character. See you next week, and until then: Go Bucks.
