You may find that work, school, or other obligations keep you from focusing on Twitter the way you should. Thankfully for you, I'm able to tune out those distractions and provide you with a weekly rundown of the best tweets from around campus.

Congratulations, you made it through another week. Six days of no Buckeye football have passed and we are now on the brink of another showdown in the Shoe. Across the Twitterverse is here once again to wish you a happy Friday and a hearty Go Bucks.

Last night the Ohio State basketball team got us hyped for the fast approaching season and showed us their stuff on the outdoor courts at the RPAC.

The highlight of the night: the dunk contest.

We got our first look at true freshmen Micah Potter and Derek Funderburk.

Funderburk gave Kam Williams, the reigning champ, a run for his money but the veteran came out on top in the end.

The three point contest, however, was a bit of an upset.

Everyone's favorite walk-on, Joey Lane, hit 18 threes to win the contest.

I got to catch up with Joey after the event and thank him for his quality contributions to Across the Twitterverse. As you can imagine, it made for a great tweet.

To top it all off, this picture of JaQuan trying to smile without showing teeth is bound to make you smile.

Three roommates each scored touchdowns all in one game. It is a miracle if all of my roommates and I make it out of bed on time.

I read the tweet above and immediately wondered who Billy's roommate was, but the question was soon answered.

Meanwhile, Tyvis is a bit lonely (probably missing Cardale).

But a hamster is definitely not the answer.

I hope the whole team gets dogs and then tweets pictures of them all the time. That would make Across the Twitterers infinitely better.

Also, Michael and Josh are trying to grow some beards.

If anyone is "the son" here, it's definitely you, Mike.

this week's winner of twitter

We got to see Robert Landers show his stuff last week against Rutgers and this week on Twitter he graced us with his Mick Marotti transformation. That man really does work wonders.

Honorable mention goes to Sean Nuernberger for getting roasted in his very own Twitter poll.

I have one final, very important question, what's a Hoosier? Go Bucks!
