A unique play occurred in the Division II OHSAA State Championship game between Cincinnati La Salle and Massillon Perry Friday night. Trailing 7-0 late in the 1st quarter, Massillon Perry faced a 4th and 6 near midfield. The Panthers decided to use their quarterback for a quick punt.

The quick punt would have flipped the field as La Salle did not have a returner deep. Instead the butt punt happened and the return led to La Salle's second score and set the 42-0 rout in motion.
