A friend of mine runs Sheppard's house in McArthur, Vinton County. This House is a passion of her's and she has made it her life's work to use it as a type of safe-house for those who are victims of sexual and domestic abuse within our community. For the last several months they have been attempting to collect items for donation to their charitable auction.
Recently, former Bengal and current Brown's wide-reciever Andrew Hawkins heard wind of it and made an enourmous gesture that we hope will bring awareness for this great cause.
For those that ate interested: The auction is December 5th. Located in the Mcarthur United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. They will begin the benefit at 11am. With the drawings starting around 4.
