Afternoon All,
I just got the 2015 NFL Preview edition of Sports Illustrated. They rank the top prospects among positions. Buckeyes include:
WR: Devin Smith (ranked 8th among WR)
"PROS: Simply incredible when the ball is in the air, tracking it as well as any college WR you'll see. Draws penalties.
CONS: Less of a sure thing on short, intermediate rouths. Will have to get better at reading defenses
NFL COMP: Torrey Smith"
TE: Jeff Heuerman (3rd)
"PROS: Good hands; solid route runner. Strong enough to tie up defenders at the line.
CONS: Play strength doesn't match weight room strength. Often Injured:
NFL COMP: Scott Chandler"
DLine: Michael Bennett (5th)
"PROS: Explodes off line with energy to cause problems. Tracks ball, improvises well
CONS: Undersized; unable to hold line if double-teamed
NFL Comp: Henry Melton"
Secondary: Doran Grant (29th)
"PROS: Physical, willing tackler. Good ball skills. Team leader.
CONS: Movement isn't especially natural.
NFL COMP: Chimdi Chekwa"
There is also a 5-page write up on Michael Bennett, haven't had the chance to read it yet, has anyone had the chance?
