Eerily similar to Dabo’s approach to the portal for the first few years.  Reluctance to go all in with the portal early on is partly the reason why Clemson has been somewhat irrelevant the last few years when it comes to seriously competing for a national championship.  Yes, Clemson has been winning 10 games most years which is good, but it’s not elite.
 

Are we going to find ourselves playing catch up over the next few years due to taking the “NIL high road” and experience a similar playoff doldrums?  I am not saying that we are recruiting at a poor level, but I would argue that we are not stacking talent in the trenches to the level needed to go on a Saban type run of pure domination.

Yes, this is a CFB first world problem.  Yes, we have been consistently recruiting top 5 or so classes.  Yes, we just won a natty (saw it happen live - not so quiet fan brag).  I am not advocating for mass firing of the coaching staff or bringing recruits into the locker room who don’t fit the brotherhood.  But you know there are some elite players in this class and the past few who have wanted to be Buckeyes but didn’t pull the trigger due to NIL. 
 

Do you think Bjork’s approach is going to be beneficial in the long run or ultimately prove to be the reason why we didn’t go on a prolonged run of CFB dominance after this championship?
