At first when I saw that Ohio State was playing at TCU in 2018, I was kind of baffled. TCU doesn't really seem like a blue blood school with a huge fan base. But, from a recruiting perspective, it actually seems kind of smart. I imagine it's an additional selling point for Dallas area kids and their parents. I wonder if that came/is coming into play with recruits like Browning, Okudah. Also, curious if that comes into play when scheduling non-conference games? And, if so, why not schedule home/away games with the likes of Georgia Tech (Atlanta), Houston, Wake Forest (the Carolinas) and schools in other talent rich areas?
