Elite 11 Finals Day 2 Recap: Ohio State Commit Brady Edmunds Holds His Own Among Nation’s Best

Day 2 of the Elite 11 Finals featured the Pro Day competition, where quarterbacks were graded on a 20-throw script testing accuracy, timing, footwork, movement, and overall command.

Day 2 MVP: Peter Bourque (Virginia Tech)
Bourque was nearly flawless, finishing 19-for-20 and winning a throw-off against LSU commit Peyton Houston, who also went 19-for-20. Rivals' Charles Power called it one of the best Elite 11 Pro Day performances in recent years, praising Bourque's footwork, timing, movement under center, and understanding of route concepts.

Peter Bourque (Virginia Tech) – 19/20 – Day 2 MVP

Brady Edmunds Breakdown

The Ohio State commit finished 17-for-20 and closed strong, completing his final nine throws.

What scouts liked:

• Big-time arm talent
• Natural pocket passer
• Can drive the football to every level of the field
• Consistent mechanics
• Strong finish under pressure

Greg Biggins:
"Edmunds is an old-school thrower, pocket guy with a big arm."

Adam Gorney:
"There's no question about Edmunds' arm ability."

Areas scouts noted for improvement:

• Mobility remains a work in progress
• Rollout throws were not as strong as his pocket work
• More comfortable operating from structure than creating outside of it

Scout Summary:
Edmunds looks exactly like the type of quarterback Ohio State has won with in the past—a big, strong-armed pocket passer who can make every throw. His arm strength continues to draw praise, while his movement skills remain the biggest area for development.

Through two days, Edmunds has firmly established himself as one of the better quarterbacks in the field. He didn't win MVP, but he also didn't expose any major weaknesses outside of the mobility concerns that were already known. Sunday's 7-on-7 session will be a major opportunity to showcase processing, anticipation, and leadership.

Day 1 MVP: Trae Taylor (Nebraska)
Day 2 MVP: Peter Bourque (Virginia Tech)

Overall MVP race heading into the final day:
• Trae Taylor
• Peter Bourque
• Peyton Houston
• Jake Nawrot
• Will Mencl
• Brady Edmunds
