We are here. We are defending our natty with star studded team that has reloaded perhaps better than any other team in history considering the personnel we lost from last year. As the dust settles from the Indiana loss, signing day, the upcoming Hartline departure, national awards.....and continued scUM nose dive into the abyss; I'm growing more and more confident of this teams playoff potential.
- The WR health continues to improve....Smith, Tate....Porter
- There has been an acknowledgement of personnel packages as they relate to short yardage and redzone success. The chaos of the Hartline to USF has dissipated. Day has more time to involve himself in game planning, and potentially play calling. The OL personnel issues will finally have a resolution. Similarly, we have our RB rotation finalized.
- Our offensive players has been passed over for awards.....and those chips on their shoulders will only add fuel to the fire.
- Perhaps most importantly, we have been shown a path from an opponent that led to an OSU loss. Aggressive defense that aims to confuse our OL assignments and speed up Sayin in the pocket. Isolate our nickel (Styles) and dime (Sanchez) in coverage matchups. Along with taking shots on our DBs in general. Banking on either a completion or a PI flag. Our coaches now have plenty of time to coach up and scheme around these perceived weaknesses.
- We still have the trump card with the best defense in the country led by Matt Patricia.
Are you guys feeling another championship run in your gut like I am?!?!
