Ohio State lands its kicker for 2026 as Baylor transfer Connor Hawkins commits to the Buckeyes.
Since our line has not been great I wanted to compare it to some of the other big name teams in the playoffs as far as rankings per starters is concerned.
Here are the numbers using 247 Composite. The players are listed based on their projected positions, not current positions.
Alabama: two 5 Star Tackles, three 4 star interior linemen, one a transfer (top lineman in class)
Georgia: one 5 star tackle, one 4 star+ tackle, two 4 star interior, one 3 star center
Notre Dame: one 3 star tackle, one 4 star tackle, three 4 star interior, and they lost 5 star tackle early in season (who was top lineman)
Oregon: one 5 star T transfer, remaining lineman all 4 stars
Miami: one 5 Star+ T, three interior 3 stars, one 4 star tackle
TAMU: two 4 star Tackles, three 3 star interior.
Oklahoma one 5 star tackle, one 4 star tackle, three 3 star interior
Ohio State: two 4 Star Tackle, two four star guard, one 3 star interior - Tegra the highest rated OSU player, and was a tackle. No 5 star player.
From a rankings perspective, I would say that only TAMU has done worse at the line in recruiting than we have. Oklahoma is close, but they have by far the best recruit.
Might be nice to land a transfer portal guy.
Not blaming current OL Staff, but was wondering. I do believe the less than stellar recruiting an surely, development, is showing up.
This was all very haphazardly done.
