I suspect the players, especially after last year, understand that the "3 Objectives" that we constantly talk about aren't weighed the same, by a longshot.
I think its pretty clear National Championship >>>>> Win against TTUM >>>>>>> Big ten Championship. I think any of them, and many of us would take a repeat of last year. I also think that almost as much as the Natty means more than a win in The Game, that the Game matter about that much more than the big ten chip. Our entire team has lived watching football after the year 2000, where the big ten championship really didnt mean all that much, even when it went to the championship game. I struggle to think when one actually had an impact on the National landscape. Maybe 2013? Oregon won it last year only to get embarrassed by us in the playoffs. Before that it was just the big ten east blasting a big ten west team into oblivion and nobody really cared about it. And remember every single one of our current players decided to play for Ohio State knowing we were not the most recent winner of the big ten.
I think both the big ten ship and The Game dont matter as much to the guys outside of Ohio from a historical perspective. Its mainly out of hate for the current team of cheaters, not out of stories like "Woody and Bo". That isnt to say its not the greatest rivalry in sports, it definitely still is. It also matters more than the big ten title, because theres a sense of personal animosity.
Ultimately, what I think the players care the most about is winning another national championship, and while the loss on Saturday stings, I understand why many on the team will consider it part of the "regular season" and build on it like they did last year with a much more devastating loss
