#1 - We’re in the playoff, we’re the most talented team, and we can win the natty after a dumb loss, as last year proved.

but ….

#2 - We threw the deep ball exactly once in the first 59 minutes of the game, and gained 52 yards on that play. When we finally threw it again with 2 seconds left, despite 7 guys guarding Jeremiah Smith, we gained 46 yards. Perhaps the team with all-world WRs should try that a few more times.

#3 - Ignoring the final 13 seconds (I forgot to chart them), we ran 15 plays with 1 tight end, 27 plays with 2 TEs, 12 plays with 3 TEs, and one play with 4 TEs.  On the 13 plays with 3 or more tight ends, we gained a total of 18 non-penalty yards.

#4 - This death-star offense scored 3 points in the final three quarters.

#5 - Indiana had a 37-yard run at the end of the first quarter on the exact same play Michigan ran for 33 yards to start last week’s game. Showed a formation that suckered Sonny to cheat to the offense’s right, then ran left and had an OL climb to the second level to seal the DB outside, creating a wide-open channel. Gotta get that fixed.

#6 - Jermaine Mathews had a terrible second half. Beaten on the Sarratt TD, beaten for a fourth-quarter first down by Becker, then beaten again by Becker for the 33-yarder late.

#7 - Lorenzo Styles had a crazy up-and-down game. On the down side, bad choice coming off WR on first drive, was in coverage on Becker’s 51-yard catch, had a DPI, and gave up 1-2 other first downs. On the good side, broke up the early bomb to Cooper, blew up the bubble screen leading to Iggy’s interception, and made a couple sure tackles.

#8 - Yes, we gave up 5 sacks after allowing 6 in our first 12 games. Sack 1 was 75% on Sayin missing wide-open Inniss and 25% on Daniels. Sack 2 was 100% on Sayin for not throwing the ball away once he was outside the pocket. Sack 3 was James Peoples getting destroyed in pass pro. Sack 4 was Tegra getting beat. Sack 5 may or may not have been a sack (in the grasp) but Daniels was the guy who got beat.

#9 - We scored an unusual 0 points in the middle 8, almost entirely due to bad pass protection. In the first half, our lackadaisical approach didn’t help, then Peoples and Daniels got whipped on back-to-back snaps. Second half was Tegra and Daniels getting beat for back-to-back sacks.

#10 - I don’t need to see Julian Sayin run any more QB sneaks.
