I've listened to countless TTUN fans, media members and talking heads repeat some version of this number or "6 years" that Ryan Day and the Buckeyes have been waiting for redemption or carrying this burden of being unable to beat scUM. Jenny Taft said to Day on the field "Six years you've been waiting for this". Klatt has been non-stop that Day has had this cross on his back for 6 years. Am I the only one who feels like world has collectively forgotten how bragging rights work? Day's Buckeyes defeated TTUN 56-27 on Nov 30th, 2019. scUM faked illness in November of 2020 to avoid being humiliated. So the Buckeyes maintained bragging rights, the crown, the belt, the trophy or whatever else you want to call it until November 27th, 2021. TTUN doesnt get retroactive bragging rights back to 2019. Now 1400+ days, 4 years is still too long, but no need saddle Day's reputation with two additional years of failure when he was in fact the reigning champ.
