Living in Toledo, it is about a 50 min drive up there. I typically don't have many terrible things to say about Ann Arbor, but I hadn't been to a game up there since '91. I was 12 and too young to really understand but I don't remember anything bad. This time.....was quite a bit different. I had some fairly decent expectations as I had heard that the stadium was a nice place to watch a college football game.
Got up there around 7am and the jawing started almost immediately. I get that is expected but I was kinda taken aback at how many "F yous", you're a "p word" I heard...how many times folks got in my face, had my hat stolen off my head. I had heard from their fan base for the last few years how bad Columbus is if your one of them on gameday, but I assumed that was because they treated visiting fans properly. Not even close.
It sure was fun doing the O-H-I-O chant around the stadium and singing Carmen Ohio in that stadium and watching them guard their logo.
But unlike so many of them that tell me they'll never watch a game in Columbus ever again, I am not as soft.....see you in Ann Arbor in '27 LOL
