All,
The double-digit weeks of the regular season have arrived. There's 6 conference games and 6 Byes. The most compelling is likely a true playoff eliminator: Nebraska @ USC. Also: Current #1 OSU hosts Former #2 PSU.
CFB is weird:
- Preseason: Penn State is the team to beat in the B1G.
- Technically, that statement is true.
- Entering Week 10: James Franklin went from the 2nd biggest firing buyout in history to the 3rd biggest (Brian Kelly). CFB is weird.
As always I checked ESPN's scoreboard and noted the 'Tickets as low as' value. And, this doesn't take into account fees and other expenses ticket sites tack on.
BYES: UCLA, Iowa, Northwestern, Oregon, Washington, & Wisconsin (rest mighty Badger, you need it)
| Home | Away | As Low As | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Illinois | Rutgers | $20 | #Bert |
| Maryland | #2 Indiana | $22 | |
| Minnesota | MSU | $28 | who cares? |
| TCUN | Purdue | $60 | #Slaughter |
| Nebraska | USC | $67 | playoff eliminator, both with 2 L's |
| OSU | PSU | $80 | only $80 for 'the epic clash' |
The Roaring 20's (3 games)
- Other than Indiana, the other 5 teams in this category are disappointments.
- Indiana has been all gas and no brakes: Maryland, be scared.
Olive Garden For 2 Money - $60, $67 (2 games)
- TCUN needs to win out, and the fans will show up in droves to see them destroy a hapless B1G squad.
- Nebraska fans are hopeful they can sneak in... they won't.
- and they fear their coach abdicates to PSU after game 12.
Admit it, we were once excited (1 game, $80)
- This is the lowest max value of the As Low As in a while.
- OSU 2024: Title or Bust --> Title
- PSU 2025: Title or Bust --> 0-4 in B1G, and counting
- Anticipation waned: July 3rd Sporting News Article
- Ticket prices start at $227 each. Lower-bowl tickets begin in the range of $800-$1,000 per ticket.
- it will likely be one of the best games of the week (and maybe the entire regular season)
