I watch a ton of College Football. I'm positive that being a line judge trying to get the spot right can be challenging, especially on long gains. That said, it getting a little ridiculous how many they just flat miss by like 2 or more feet. Perfect example was the 3rd and 15 late in the 3rd quarter where JJ caught the pass at the line and was called short. Sayin had to sneak it on the next play which we thankfully made it. JJs knee was at the line to gain and the ball was above his knee. 1st down is clear when paused on the TV, butvthey spotted it almost a half yard short! What the fuck were they looking at? And then on the next Badger drive, they gave them two VERY generous spots for 1st downs. Im sick of it. These guys have to do better. Rant over.
