Given the increased demands of a college football season with the 12-team CFP format, I fully understand and support the strategy of, in essence, slowing down the game and having fewer offensive plays to help achieve the ultimate goal.

But do you think this can be frustrating at times for the players on offense (especially the biggest stars)?

Just going back to your playing days in whatever sport you were involved in, wasn’t the typical mantra of your coaches all about always bringing your best effort, your “A game,” etc all the time?  What’s that old expression: keeping the pedal to the metal?

Again, I’m fully behind what the coaching staff is doing.  I just wonder if it can be tough at times mentally for the players given their competitive drive.  Thanks.
