Well Well Well - it's good to be on top and winning in dominant fashion makes this next week that much more enjoyable. PJ Fleck's post-game presser was a great listen. He said that the Buckeyes come at you from so many angles that it feels like you're in a box with nowhere to turn.
Leaning into the Illini - they have a better offense then the gophers and better playmakers overall. Please don't look at what they did vs the Hoosiers and believe this will be a rollover game. They took down a very talented Trojan team and beat a motivated Purdue on the road. For as good as their offense is, their defense is their weakness and that is where it will be a struggle for them to consistently get off the field.
They don't have the weapons that UDUB has (our only road game opponent so far) and defensively they are a step down so provided that we don't shoot ourselves in the foot and make multiple mistakes we should have this game in hand by the end of the 3rd quarter.
It'll be another tough road test but defense travels well and with the offensive weapons we have, I feel very confident walking away with another "W" in convincing fashion.
My Final Prediction:
Ohio State - 45
Illinois - 10
