The Cleveland Browns replaced one former Ohio State offensive tackle with another.
After placing Dawand Jones on injured reserve with a season-ending knee injury on Wednesday, the Browns filled his spot on the roster by signing his former Ohio State teammate Thayer Munford Jr., who was on the New England Patriots’ practice squad.

Munford, an Ohio native who finished his high school career in Northeast Ohio at Massillon Washington High School, is in his fourth NFL season. He spent his first three seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders, who selected Munford in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL draft but released him in August.
Munford and Jones previously played together at Ohio State from 2019-21.
