I came across this in my wanderings of the Interwebs and thought it was a GR8 story.

It speaks primarily to Brady Edmunds and his relationship with the coaching staff at Ohio State and even more pointedly to the relationship he's building with 5-star wide receiver commit Jamier Brown.

Here's a snippet to wet the proverbial whistle:

Brady Edmunds had a busy Friday.

After scoring seven touchdowns on Thursday in a Huntington Beach 48-7 romp, he hopped on a flight with his dad and flew from California to Columbus the next day. The two landed, dropped their things at their hotel and hit I-71 to get to Euclid.

Edmunds was intent on seeing his future Buckeye teammate.

Five-star wide receiver commit Jamier Brown’s Wayne Warriors were handled by St. Edward in a blowout loss, but Edmunds was on hand to see his future wideout in action. He saw remarkable speed and a spectacular catch, as Ohio State’s only two 2027 commits continued to grow their relationship still with more than a year before enrolling.

I'll add a link at the end of the post for you to dig into the rest of the article and it's particulars but it ends with a note about recruiting and how these two committed recruits could be an outlier as the landscape of NIL and commitments shifts, something like this:

In the new age, though, commitments that otherwise could have already happened for Ohio State might be held off. With revenue-sharing of players here, and NIL as big a factor as ever, early commitments may become less common as time wears on.

But that doesn’t apply for Edmunds and Brown. For a team that has consistently had high-level quarterback play and first-round receivers, the churn continues no matter where they come from.

Not to get too far ahead as we continue to bask in the afterglow of an unprecedented CFP run and the newly minted 2024 CFP hardware and prepare for a stellar run through the 2025 season but I like the way the 2027 class is shaping up, albeit it from a somewhat small sample size but the quality is exactly what we've come to expect from Ryan Day and his merry band of recruiters!

Here's your link, enjoy the read and have a most excellent Buckeye Day!!
