This will be the 4th time Ohio State and Ohio University have faced each other in football. The Buckeyes hold a 3–0 advantage in the all-time series, with all three wins coming in Columbus.

Last week, Brian Smith’s Bobcats defeated West Virginia, 17–10, in Athens to earn their first win of the season. Ohio is 1–1 overall after falling to Rutgers in Week 1. Ryan Day’s Buckeyes are 2–0, with a 14–7 victory over Texas in Austin and a 70–0 rout of Grambling at home.
