Could Losing the Texas Game Be a Good Thing?

Sounds weird I know, but is there a scenario where losing the Texas game could be a good thing in the long run for the season? I know nobody wants to ever lose, but you have to admit that some losses do end up being beneficial in hindsight. Losses have had their role in team development for us in the past in terms of motivation, momentum, pressure, etc. For example VaTech in 2014 and even TTUN loss last year. I think a loss here for UT would actually benefit them as well. Would take some pressure off Arch and the team with all this hype coming in and would let them play more freely. I think it would do the opposite for us (put more pressure on Sayin and the team and possibly lead to complacency or overconfidence).

Peaking at the right time is a big factor with the 12-team and more and more we are seeing that early season dominance does not correlate to post season success. I could see a scenario where we play UT in the playoffs and the team that lost game  week 1 has that extra motivation and wins - we see it all the time (AKA us against Oregon last year). Obviously never rooting for a loss and I would be sad after the game, but just some food for thought on this fine Sunday afternoon.
