Given Day’s comps of the two QBs, I wonder if the offense will feature lots of short, fast passing routes to get speed in space.
Many of Haskins throws were 10 yards or less… letting Campbell and KJ Hill, and others, feast on YAC. His release was fast and accurate in these throws. It’s how he beat TCUN in 2017 in relief duty… and it’s how he hung 62 on them in 2018.
Not that he didn’t throw deep or intermediate throws. As I recall, though, he was least accurate on intermediate throws (throwing behind guys or floating it a little too high) and he was good with some deep balls (just not as good as Justin or CJ).
