Ohio State walk-on running back Willtrell Hartson has entered the transfer portal after one year as a Buckeye.

A three-star recruit out of Massillon, Ohio, Hartson chose to join the Buckeyes over offers from 10 FBS schools. After playing zero snaps as a true freshman, however, Hartson has decided to seek out more playing time elsewhere.
Hartson becomes the third Ohio State running back to enter the transfer portal since the start of last week, joining scholarship running backs Evan Pryor and Chip Trayanum. Their departures, along with Miyan Williams’ season-ending injury, leaves the Buckeyes with only four total running backs on their roster for the Cotton Bowl: TreVeyon Henderson, Dallan Hayden and walk-ons TC Caffey and Cayden Saunders.
