I have to say that I very much admire all the OSU folks for taking the high road when asked about this mess that scUM has created.
Especially Ryan Day, because I think he knew this was more than just in-game-sign-stealing early in the 2022 Game.
I would imagine they have been preparing for the '23 matchup entirely differently, but now they may get an assist from some higher authorities.
I digress, the two images.
The first one is a video image from some of the evidence presented this week. It's after CS is prompting Minter to "blitz, blitz, blitz" and they crush Tre'Veyon with a safety blitz and then on 3rd down Stroud has no one to throw to and dumps one in the flat. OSU is walking off the field and you can see on Day's face a look of "shit, something fucked up is going on" as he pats Stroud on the helmet and then glances over to the scUM sideline. In my mind his look is one of pure exasperation as he looks over at the opposing sideline (in my mind at Minter and Stalions) like "what the fuck is going on"? I think he knew in this moment that scUM knew all of his signals and his goose was cooked.
The other image is the still photo of the 2 head coaches shaking hands before the 2022 game. We can all safely assume that Day had hunches about Harbaugh's cheating, and in that still-frame of them shaking hands I just wonder what is going through Day's mind? Shaking someone's hand who you absolutely don't trust or perhaps even despise is an awkward moment. I envision Day wanting to call Harbaugh a "cheating SOB", but not being able to do it in that moment.
I wonder if they will ever shake hands again? Harbaugh doesn't deserve to shake Day's hand ever again, and I hope he never gets the chance.
Anyone who wants to dig for images has my blessing ;-)
