Ohio State is 9-1 in the last 10 years against Penn State. When I saw this stat pop up, I was mildly surprised. Recent matchups have felt like heavyweight bouts and it slipped my mind that OSU has had this extended string of dominance against PSU.
OSU was 2-1 from 2016 to 2018 but was -1 in the point differential... The 2017 and 2018 games were incredibly memorable. In 2017, OSU was down 38-27 with 5:42 left in the game before JT Barrett had his career night. In 2018, OSU was down 26-14 with 8 minutes left before Haskins found Binjimin Victor and he galloped like a gazelle to pay dirt. Even in 2022, OSU was down 21-16 with 9:26 left in the 4th quarter before JTT turned into a certified game wrecker.
Suffice to say I think this weekend is going to be another classic, with haymakers thrown on both sides. This is my second favorite game of the year and I can't wait to see what the 2023 installment brings. O-H!
