Following the Panthers trade up to #1 Vegas odds have moved strongly in favor of Stroud going #1 overall. Stroud is now -300 and Bryce Young is at +300 to go first. Multiple writers have said their sources believe the Panthers want to take Stroud. Their quarterback coach Josh McCown said in an interview that he sees Joe Burrow in the way Stroud plays. 
 

Would of course be awesome for Stroud to go #1. This comes with $41M guaranteed with a 5th year option that will likely be $30M+. The downside is Carolina could be a tough place to succeed. They have now traded McCafrey and DJ Moore away leaving them with what is probably the worst skill group in the NFL. They have also used a lot of recent draft capital in trading for Sam Darnold, Baker Mayfield, and up in the draft for Matt Corral. They have good pieces on the OL and defense but without future draft picks it may be rough for awhile.
