Long time holder, but unfortunately, this is going to be the first year where I'm going to pass on buying.
$2,700 for two tickets now with seat licensing. $1,000 of that is for the "license". Comes out to $450/game for the 6 games.
Just no way it's worth that when Youngstown St. and Western Kentucky make up one-third of the home games.
I suspect many others are in the same boat...looking at the "value" of season tickets, and not seeing one game where you couldn't buy them cheaper on the secondary market.
My guess is Gene Smith & Co. are going to be in for quite a shock this year when they see the number of non-renewals. It was actually pretty bad last year, and that was with a really good home slate. You could have bought season tickets on the 50 last year, which was never available unless you were a mega-donor.
