Ohio State made another addition to its support staff Wednesday with the hiring of former Boston College long snapper Gunner Daniel, who will serve as a special teams assistant for the Buckeyes.

It’s a return home for Daniel, who grew up in nearby Marysville, Ohio. It will be the first collegiate coaching position for Daniel, who was Boston College’s long snapper for the past two years after previously playing at Wagner and Ball State. He has experience working as a specialist coach for the Hammer Kicking Academy and also got the opportunity to work as a graduate assistant for last month’s NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.
