I am not sure if this was already discussed elsewhere, but per this ESPN article.. Wade admitted to hiring an agent.
Wade on Wednesday told ESPN's Outside The Lines that he hired an agent when he opted out after graduating in July, but he never signed any paperwork with the agency. Defining that relationship will be important because, according to NCAA rules, any player who hires an agent is deemed ineligible.
And according to NCAA rules..
NCAA rules forbid student-athletes to agree, orally or in writing, to be represented by an agent or organization in the marketing of his or her athleticability or reputation until after the completion of the last intercollegiate contest, including postseason games.
Not trying to be the bearer of any bad news, but is this something that could come back and bite us?
