A month or so ago there was an article written on 11W about projected depth charts, in that article the projections were as follows:
1. Justin Fields
2. CJ Stroud
3. Gunnar Hoak
4. Jack Miller
Now obviously with spring practices this is very reasonable to put CJ in front of Gunnar, but as a freshman missing out on those spring practices and summer workouts could be very detrimental to his early growth. I think this is going to be the first sign of how great he will really be.
If we do have a season, and let's pray to God we do. And Stroud solidifies himself as the QB2, I think it's safe to say that he's on a path for greatness. Now I will admit as soon as you commit to play QB for Ryan Day and Corey Dennis you are on a path for greatness but this will be his first test. If he passes I think it's safe to say we are in good hands after Fields takes off to play on Sundays.
