It doesn't appear to be slowing anytime soon. Who cares, enjoy it while it lasts.

Nebraska's 1997 Senior Class accumulated more national championship's (three) than losses (two). The idea of irrelevancy and struggles just to achieve bowl eligibility would've been laughable during their 1999 Big Twelve Championship season.  Two decades later, the fanbase wonders, 'Is this it?'

Michigan fans never envisioned losing 17 of 19 after Cooper's 2-10-1 crusade.  Tressel's 7 season streak was equaled by Meyer... whose streak was continued by Day.

Remember Miami (of Florida)'s 34 game winning streak... Won the '01 title, damn near won two in a row.  Their 1991 5th year seniors can claim 3 National titles.  Now, they're a 500 team in the midst of a coaching carousel.  But this guy, he's the one.

Ohio State's B1G play is an exponent beyond incredible.

Going back 15 seasons, the number of B1G Losses since 2005 is that, 15.  And 5 occurred in 2011.
As some of you older ones may recall, 2004 was Tressel's last rebuilding year (8-4, 4-4 B1G).  Since then, full steam ahead.
Whether the wins were via domination, a too close for comfort uninspired victory, or a 'how the hell did we win that one' game (Michigan 2016), OSU gets the job done.

Since Tressel's '04 rebuilding year, OSU has not lost multiple B1G games in a non-NCAA-afflicted season.

OSU's perpetual journey was derailed in 2011 via the collegiate overseers.  It was a disastrous blip; nevertheless, remember the NCAA's Scorched Earth over USC?

Season B1G Wins Losses Team Score Loss Rationale
2005 7 1 PSU 10-17 Tressel's Bollman and the inabiltiy to score points with a STACKED offense
2006 8 0
2007 7 1 Illinois 21-28 QB Juice William's game of his life (there were a few bad calls too)
2008 7 1 PSU 6-13 Tressel's Bollman and the inabiltiy to score points with a STACKED offense
Seriously: Pryor/Robiskie/Hartline/Beanie = 6 points
2009 7 1 Purdue 18-26 Tressel's Bollman and the inabiltiy to score points with a STACKED offense
2010 7 1 Wisconsin 18-31 they were just a great team. OSU was on road at night too.  It happens in CFB.
2011 3 5 LOL NCAA'd by way of Discounted Tattoos: MSU - Neb - Purdue - PSU - Michigan
2012 8 0
2013 8 1 MSU 24-34 The Everett Withers "This Is So Dumb It's Gotta Work" Defensive Scheme
2014 9 0
2015 7 1 MSU 14-17 STACKED, and, yet, had trouble moving chains against the likes of Northern Illinois and Hawai'i… Thank you Tim Beck, you did so little with so much.
2016 8 1 PSU 21-24 A good team with fortuitous special teams blocks (and benefited from an egregious PI-non call)
2017 9 1 Iowa 24-55 Nobody knows why
2018 9 1 Purdue 20-49 See Iowa 2017
2019 10 0

B1G Winning PERCENTAGE: 111 Wins, 10 Losses -- .917 (not including 2011)
114 - 15 -- 0.884 (includes 2011)
This includes B1G Championship games ('13, '14, '17, '18, '19).

The current pace is roughly 3 B1G losses every 4 seasons.  This can't last forever.  Fortunately, forever is a long time and I'm enjoying the ride.

ps -- Of the 15 maddening losses... The 2011 MSU loss remains a perplexing mystery in my mind... Sometimes you lose, but usually the coaches try to win.  Usually.
